Senior Underwriter, Delegated Authority

An opportunity for an established UK Commercial Underwriter, to join a successful Delegated Authority Team who provide capacity to UK MGA's.

The team offer capacity to large well known MGA's to include ARAG and Simply Business. The overall book currently stands at @ £180M and they have the opportunity to grow substantially in 2021.

The position is to focus on the portfolio management of the account. Whilst titled 'underwriter' this is not a case underwriting role as the MGA's are given full underwriting authority. The role will focus on areas such as the MGA relationship, pricing/actuarial, legal, and compliance. This is an analytical role and candidates with a strong numerical background/education preferred. Applicants must also demonstrate a solid technical background in UK commercial Property & Casualty classes and have experience in dealing with Delegated Authority business
