Position Summary
Our clients are seeking to hire a new business underwriter to join their growing London Team. The role will focus on underwriting our portfolio of specialist Commercial Package business, servicing new business from their Key Partners within the London geography. 

Candidates should be writing property & casualty lines for UK based commercial corporate clients (some with multinational interests). This will suit a trading underwriter and could be a great progression for a regional underwriter, ideally with 5 years plus underwriting experience. It is all new business and our clients target is to write £1M premium a year. 

Key Responsibilities
Review applications and financial requirements for risks requiring technical underwriting skills.
Determine acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
 Prepare quotations and answers questions from Brokers, internal and external contacts
and escalates issues as necessary.
 Build Pipeline and visibility with key broker partners
 Recommend appropriate pricing and coverage modifications or enhancements for risks
after complete analysis and consideration of applicant documentation, business factors
and competitive situations.
 Analyse quality, quantity, and profitability of risks underwritten and prepares reports for management review.
 May assist in marketing products and services through the brokerage community and
makes field visits.
